Film School Rejects: Brett Ratner Plans To Molest More Superheroes With ‘Youngblood’

Youngblood is a Z level comic series...perfect for Ratner because nobody will ever see this movie... this reminds me that Wild Cats still hasn't been adapted which is a shame

WEll that sucks too. Wildcats will be a nice movie to adapt but since there's too many superhero movies out there I don't think there'll be any fans. I love Wildcats and it would suck if Rattner touched it.

I'm not saying he should touch Wildcats....I'd love it if some awesome visionary director got a hold of it like Zack Snyder, Ridley Scott or James Cameron...If Cameron is interested in making a Battle Angel movie he could possibly make the crossover into American comics as well...Although I've heard rumors that he wants to make Avatar and Battle Angel into respected trilogies

I've read Battle Angel and it would be nice for James Cameron to adapt the movie. I do believe he's a great director and would make a wonderful job. When I said Rattner would suck adapting Wildcats what I meant is what you clarified. Wildcats would be great but the it needs a great director and a script to see the visionary style of the story.

Battle Angle Alita was a great series, I collected all of them from the 80's. But it would take a serious set f actors to make it work on the big screen. Not to mention Alita was tecnically a very young "girl" and that would be hard to cast without it looking rediculous.

well James Cameron has already written the script and commissioned concept artists years ago...it's going to be made he even hinted to it with the first Avatar image he's wearing a B.A. tee shirt...the only question is if he's going all CGI, partial CG like Avatar or fully live-action....

Yes I read about that as well.

It would have to be 50% CGI to even resemble the comics with all the combat and technical aspects of the series.

Was Youngblood not a cartoon series at one point? Anyway, Youngblood was pish and the artwork was very questionable. Rob Liefeld may have became famous for his X-Force artwork but that wasn't enough when he started up Image with a few other artists.
What next? The Savage Dragon? Wetworks? Hellshock? The Darkness? Pitt?

brett ratner did ruin xmen, so i hope wolverine is good so i can make that my trilogy of the xmen series,

on a side note he has done one good movie
which is red dragon, held up well with the story and true to what i think was anthony hopkins performance in silence of the lambs, of course no where near as good as that movie but red dragon did destroy hannibal, which was a terrible piece of crap

what in the world was ridley scott thinking when directing that movie :X

Young Blood was an ok series but it lost me after a few years. There just wan't anything new or original about the characters or stories and the issues had like ten pages of story and the rest was ads.

Ratner is definately not the person to be directing though, hell if you can't bring characters to life on the big screen with the massive amount of back story and character delevopment the comics had then you fail.
