I'll send you a cake with a smaller cake inside. With, perhaps, a paperclip inside. <wink>

Sounds like FSR should make up some shirts with "Free the Rejects" emblazoned across the chest. I'd buy one and pack it in the cake.

    Epic.

Hope you guys get out soon. Is there going to be a Reject Radio next Sunday?
  • facebook-42000528 · 4 months ago
I'm sorry, but isn't this the plot to an episode of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip? Yeah, the episode is called "Nevada" and there's comic highjinks involving a cop from Pahrump played by John Goodman.
  • Dr. T · 4 months ago
That's exactly what I was thinking of the whole time I was reading this. I believe John Goodman was playing the judge not the cop.
  • Michelle Graham · 4 months ago
Yup, Goodman played the Judge in Nevada Day (1) and (2). Lucky for you guys that it's not a holiday or you wouldn't be going anywhere! Also, isn't the town they got stuck in the same one from Studio 60? I know there're a lot of Sorkin fans on here but really guys, this is taking things a bit far!
  • Aleric · 4 months ago
The first draft was kind of weak, we need to punch it up a bit and add in a good looking female friend who is one of the guys. Then when the cops pull you over there needs to be more mystery over what they found and how it got into the car. This will hook into the final act when Matt Damon shows up to help with the escape and eventual crossing of the border.
  • Troy · 4 months ago
The good looking female should be a beautiful female cop who then falls for one of the guys. This leads to some humorous banter about who she really wants to get with and such. She'll later try to prevent their daring escape, but ultimately she lets her new found love go and be free...

But seriously, sorry to here about this. Good luck, fellas.

  • PaulW44285 · 4 months ago
Wow, that sucks. But of course, you just, almost exactly, gave a synopsis of the Studio 60 Episode "Nevada Day"
Even the town in that episode is called, "Pahrump"
  • KateErbland · 4 months ago
I love how you put "Pahrump" in quotes, like it's an assumed name.

    It's very, very real. ::shudder::
  • Peter Donohue · 4 months ago
Best example of why this is the best movie site on the web. Even Johnny Law can't prevent them from covering Comic-con. Sorry if this sounds like Schadenfreude, but I find this hilarious! Hope you fellas get out soon. I'll send you a cake with a file baked into it.
  • jstockton858 · 4 months ago
I have to agree this is the best movie site on the web. Wish I was there with you in jail!!! (although if given the option I would go to Comic-con)
  • AngryBroomstick · 4 months ago
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA oh my god!!!
  • Adam Sweeney · 4 months ago
Thank God I didn't go with you guys in the Rejectmobile. Enjoy "prison" and try not to play the Edward Norton part from American History X in there. And by there I mean Austin. ;)
  • Davebaxter1989 · 4 months ago
    That is. Hilarious.

Missouri, apparently, is where the world's largest fork is.

    That sucks, man.
  • chille · 4 months ago
I love the fact that you guys made a little graphic for this article.

    What...the fuck?
  • teknokracy · 4 months ago
Don't argue with a state trooper if you've got weed in the car.... dorks.
  • PaulSileo · 4 months ago
Truer words have not been said.
  • mlledufarge · 4 months ago
Sorry you guys landed in jail, but I have to say, your twitter updates totally made my day less crappy. I'm missing out on Comic-Con, but at least I'm doing it from the comfort of my own apartment and not jail. Through I do still have to go to work, which is pretty much like jail only without as much free time.

Now Cole will get what he has always wanted.. an anal pound!!
  • Swil · 4 months ago
...Didn't you just describe a Studio 60 episode? Down to the name of the town?
  • Steven · 4 months ago
Starts with D, ends with RUGS I assume. http://www.FlexYourRights.org

This never should have happened if you had known your rights and stood firm. When an officer asks to search your car, he has no probable cause. If he did, he wouldn't need to ask. Always decline. Tell them you prefer to keep your personal effects personal.

If anyone wants to talk with Cole, he's allowed 3 calls a day at (775) 751-7027

This is the exact plot from an episode of "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip". Watch it when you get the chance. It's an exact recreation. Pahrump, NV. Searches. Long stays. Judge on Vacation for local holiday... Crazy. The episode is called "Nevada Day" it's a two=parter.
  • Jozef Garcia · 4 months ago
So who had the stuff?.. Just curious?
  • Jozef Garcia · 4 months ago
So, who had the "stuff" is what I want to know?
  • Ellis · 4 months ago
All you have to do is say "my lawyer has advised me never to consent to a search." Solves a lot of problems before they happen.
  • UMDSmith · 4 months ago
You need to excercise your right to a "speedy trial".
  • LeadMcMahon · 4 months ago
    Should've ate the weed bro-ham.
  • TetterkeT · 4 months ago
This is why you don't travel with weed, dude. Leave it at home. It's not hard to find it in San Diego -- everyone there smokes. :D
  • NOLA · 4 months ago
So $100 says they were busted for pot.
  • Ryan N. · 4 months ago
This sounds terribly like the plot of an episode of Studio 60 on The Sunset Strip...

    Fake Fak Fake

this was on TV two years ago

Harriet is cited in an interview as being anti-homosexual, though she claims to have been impartial in her comments. This causes a dispute in which Tom injures a man protesting against Harriet. Through a unique series of events, Tom is later arrested. Following this, a variety of cast and staff from NBS travel to Pahrump, a small town in Nevada, to get Tom out of jail in time for his show that night. Guest star John Goodman plays a judge who's not a fan of Studio 60. First part of a two-parter.
