I don't want any PG or G rating on my Marvel movies, are they crazy?

I can already see all of our favorite marvel characters begin transformed into ten year old versions of themselves :(

Well at least they don't own Batman. I think the Batman movies should remain as dark as possible. I can't imagine Disney continuing in that vein.

I don't care much for Marvel characters anyway.

If this happens say goodbye to any more "Adult Focused" super hero franchises. This will be like every "R" rated movie that was sanitized down to a "PG" and failed miserably. But I suppose that the Captain of the Titanic thought everything was going fine up until they hit the iceberg.

I think people need to calm down and look at this from a positive perspective instead of just immediately thinking that Disney is going to ruin all of Marvel's properties. There's a ton of potential for this to be great especially if you think about the fact that Disney can fully let Marvel operate on it's own, they aren't necessarily there to mettle in their affairs. I'm totally excited for the prospect of a Marvel/Pixar crossover. Think positive, isn't that what Disney teaches us to do anyway?

Show me one instance that Disney ever did this. Their main focus is to insure nothing tarnishes the "Disney" image. They are notorious for over reacting to situations and basically shutting down any frnachise that they don't see as an asset.

I already heard a sound bite on the news that they want to turn Marvel into a force for 10 year old boys on the same vein as Hannah Montanna.

I'm a little worried how this might effect comic based movies. Then again; maybe they can collaborate with Pixar and come up with some really cool 3D movies.

Sounds to me like Disney just wants a piece of Marvel's action - if you can't beat em, buy em - but, I do agree with you guys that some kind of Marvel/Pixar collaboration would be cool.

I agree with the comments here that Marvel and Pixar collaboration would be awesome, but I doubt if that's possible anytime soon.

As it is mentioned in the article, Marvel's characters or franchises are already partially owned by other studios. What does this Disney acquisition mean? Will Disney become the third partner of every Marvel movie now or will it just somehow get rid of Paramount, Sony and Fox and be the major/only partner of all Marvel Products. Ofcourse since Disney owns Marvel now....any profit of Marvel is also a profit to Disney. The rich gets richer :p

Although there are many complaints on how Disney handles things, I think this acquisition of Marvel will only have a positive outcome because Disney is a successful company and Marvel is also a very successful company and there is nothing that can go wrong.
