Twilight Saga: New Moon Sets Records, Hauls in $140 million
Fure, I dig your concern, and it should be noted for anyone walking into a movie that it's the filmmakers that make the film, not the studio necessarily. It's odd living in a time where almost all details - right down to the level of studio involvement - that a picture's production goes through before release. Especially with a large amount of people who think they understand the process but don't.
Sadly, I think that the studios need to do more to control their own image and to be more open about the filmmaking process now that all this information is out there, and it needs to be pro-active. It seems like parsing when they come out with a press release after re-shoots to talk about how they are totally normal. Our generation can smell bullshit a mile away - probably because we're making most of it.
But yeah, liking a movie or hating it just because of who made it and not because of whether it was entertaining is stupid.
Fucker.
What you just said makes no sense.
1) "super fanboy obsessively jerks over Pixar but refuses to acknowledge that another animated film can reach the same heights" refers to several critics probably, but I assume the main offender is Alex Billington at First Showing. Your comments describe his review precisely. 2) Last year, Devin Faraci famously asked the question "Who the fuck is Alex Billington?" in reference to his Dark Knight proclamation.
See, I combined the two into a mash-up so convoluted and obscure that only I found it funny. It's a gift.
