I never really got into Futurama when Fox aired it...I think because we already had Family Guy, The Simpsons and King of The Hill on the bloated Sunday lineup....I ended up randomly picking up of the DVD volumes and the commentary was worth the money..I think it's one of the best selling points to the resurrection of the series through it's DVD sales...you have Billy West and other voice actors to liven things up with impressions or great stories....after you hear and understand how much detail goes into the writing of each episode...I came out wondering how Fox couldn't market this more to college kids and adults...I really think that it's more evolved than the Simpsons in that they can go anywhere and do anything without a lot of explanation... although they do have a Harvard physics grad on the writing staff who does try to when it's possible
