Yes, 1080p is 1080p, but that's resolution, not quality (seriously, who is this guy?)
The bitrate is eaqually, if not more important, and that's where bluray can truly excel, with it's superior memory.

1080i v. 1080p is a useless comparison for a moving picture. And COMPLETELY useless on any CRT screen, as they suck at progressive scan.

I have a couple of movies on both formats. And although 1080p is 1080p I always notice a better picture quality on the HD versions of movies (even though my HD player is the 360 add on). In my BD movies, there are a ton of artifacts and "fuzz" in black or dark scenes. Perhaps this is due to the throughput of data transfer is higher on HD than BD? It is nice having the full uncompressed sound (in most cases) with BD but I am going to miss the awesome picture of HD though (unless BD improves).
