Surely the gap between films isn't as long as reported. Surely he made Punch Drunk Love between the superb Magnolia and equally superb There Will Be Blood? (PDL - Not superb!!!) But that aside, what a stunning rumour... ahhh if it only it were to come true!!!!

If they can get Ang Lee to do Hulk, PTA can do Metal Gear. And I believe he could do it well, too. This guy is one of the most eclectic filmmakers out there today

I heard Christian Bale was confirmed to play Solid Snake.He's damn near perfect for the role anyways.But my thing is If you've played any of the games their pretty much movies in themselves.Thats gonna be tricky,but looking forward to it though.

Punch Drunk-Love is actually quite superb.
it was a fantastic artsy rom-com by PTA and a great change for him.
