    Good! I think I would have attempted to burn the film if it came anywhere near me. What a horrible concept. Akira is a great film, and I'd like it to stay that way. Remakes often taint the originals so much that people don't even realize there was something before it. Mention Solyaris to someone, and they start thinking of Soderbergh. Sheesh.

    The Manga is long enough to warrant a 2-part epic. The original film did not use all of the source material. Even so, I'm glad this movie has been scrapped.
