Unfortunately, on top of being a bare-bones disc, Sukiyaki Western Django is also shown in its 98min International version (as oposed to the 121 min Japanese version - that's right, they cut 23 minutes out of the movie!) Some say it's better, some not. I haven't seen either yet.

Another big problem with this Blu-ray is that the only english subtitle track is a track for the hearing impared (including such anoying subtitles as "gunshots" and such). And this is one movie that really needs its english subtitles since it was all done with japanese actors speaking engrish phonetically without having a clue as to the actual words...

The Japanese import version of this Blu-ray (via Sony) is the longer cut and features 6.1 uncompressed audio (this one only has 5.1) but has ABSOLUTELY NO ENGLISH SUBTITLES... and cost twice as much...

Thanks Neil, I couldn't give two shits about Bluray but I love the heads up on Hellboy2 coming out tomarrow.
