Twilight Saga: New Moon Sets Records, Hauls in $140 million
Its got something different about it. No air of ridiculousness like Batman and Robin..no "lets get a gang of hot people together" like batman forever... and i hate to say this but batman returns was too amateurish and simplistic to be taken seriously. The only real contenders for the ultimate batmovie are Batman and Batman Begins...so far..
Heres hoping TDK comes along and destroys the competition..Like gotham city, we deserve a better class of.. ok i messed that up
Batman Forever
Batman
Batman Returns
Batman
Batman & Robin
I really can't wait for the midnight showing of The Dark Knight. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the newest installment.
i have been hearing the same thing again?
the new series are more enjoyable.
get the full 3-d effect in every animation, finer quality with a digital system.
Returns
Batman 89
Mask of the Phantasm (I count it)
Batman 66
Forever
& Robin
The Riddler was spot on? The Two Face performance was decent? Could you please mail me some of the good stuff you're smoking.
The author of the article isn't smoking anything...
Carey's Riddler WAS spot on. Jones' Two-Face was decent...the lack of connection to the first film's Harvey Dent was disturbing. Nicholson's Joker was terrific. Even Catwoman and Mr. Freeze were portrayed with a bit of homage to the original characters.
My one casting problem with the bad guys was Danny Devito's Penguin. It should have been a much more "fun" character in the vein of Joker and Riddler. Not easy to watch at all...
The new films? The Scarecrow could have been done SO much better. Ra's Al Ghul wasn't fully explored, but the Joker is the kind of Joker this series should expect.
Two more observations:
In the srieals, on the radio, in the TV show, cartoons and every movie series, Superman's origin was explained. I'm glad Batman's origins were finally explored in the first "new" film.
And any review mentioning the '66 Batman film and not mentioning the classic "Some days, you just can't get rid of a bomb" line missed something.
