You bastards in Austin are so spoiled...South by Southwest, Fantastic Fest, AND Austin Film Festival? Can't any other damn cities get a film festival???

That would be up to those respective cities. Also, there are some sweet film festivals elsewhere. Coming from Columbus, Ohio, I know that to be true -- and to get them to be as big and cool as the fests we have here in Austin, you have to go out and support them. Columbus has a great fest called the Deep Focus Film Fest, but it ended up being shut down due to lack of support. It's sad, but true.

I would urge you to find what's happening near you and give it some support.
