I personally love AN, but all three DVD versions have sucked horribly. The First release was the 153 minute masterpiece that looked like it was formatted on DVD in someone's garage. The Redux edition was a 202 minute bore fest that was painfully long because it included all of the things that Coppola edited out, and it looked like it was formatted on DVD in someone's garage. I was hoping that The Complete Dossier would fix both problems, but no...not really. Still 202 minutes and still doesn't look or sound particularly like a remastered edition. Please! someone from Criterion buy the rights to AN!

Wow. First I was about to write a thanks for telling me. I'm one of those who still has the excellent laser version of AN. Frankly, no DVD has been made that can touch the old lasers -- I don't care what you say. :-)

Before I said thanks, I read Brian Gibson's slam and now I think I'll just stay with the old laser and be forced to forego Brando's reading that poem.

What a dilemma!
