Disn't Jeff Bridges wield a cigar in Iron Man? Didn't Tony Stark drink early and womanize? I hope Tim Roth snorts some cocaine in this film.

It's good to see that the AMAA has cured cancer and AIDS so they can focus on more pressing matters like characters smoking in films.

    Way to go, AMAA!

As the public grows more accepting of real dramatics in our movies, the AMAA is going to look more and more foolish.

Remember, it's art that imitates life. Not the other way around.

I'm wondering if this was Fidel Castro's idea of product placement. heh heh

And to our trusty editor-in-chief, how amazing is it that there are no photos of Hurt with the maligned cigars. And there was a ton of press coverage yesterday (6/11) of the AMAA's strenuous objections and efforts to change the rating.

Guess we'll have to wait and see the movie tomorrow.

I'm having some difficulty locating the "Americans for the Prevention of Gamma Ray Exposure". I've found it twice now in stories like this one, but can't find any other documentation.

I even tried looking in The Onion. :)

AMAA should hug Marvel EIC Joe Quesada, because they all hate smoking and want to remove it from media. FICTION media, at that. People trying to control what I see and do makes me want to turn into a green monster and smash the hell out of a downtown area.
