Also, Titanic being anywhere near this list makes me sad. And Journey to the Seventh Planet not being #1 in sci-fi makes my heart hurt as well. Where else does a man have to travel into the depths of his soul in Uranus? In what other movie do men have to battle the one-eyed monster in Uranus? Exactly.
One more thing - what about horror? It's such a great genre that has it's share of cinematic innovation and genius.
And where is the Foreign Film Category? Even if I have major beefs with the idea of anything outside Hollywood being automatically dubbed foreign, without such a category soooooo many films become overlooked.
And what about a Godzilla category? I vote Smog Monster because there is nothing like that "Save the Planet" tune.
