Boiling Point: Twilight
I talked to Brad Fuller and he's a legit dude. While I'll miss Robert Englund as Freddy, it's time to make the Nightmare Demon scary again.
Remakes are lame and ruin the chances of another sequel. Look at Halloween, Rob Zombie destroyed any chance of them picking up from a storyline that was being built up since the first sequel (which answered a lot of how/why questions and still had a lot more to elaborate on.)
I disagree with people who say they'd rather see a remake than a crappy sequel. I'd much rather see nicely done sequel than a crappy remake who's goal is to squeeze out a bunch of cheap scares aimed at a fanbase built up by the originals.
All I've seen so far are bigger and more powerful bad guys who kill with a lot more gore. And you can really see the writers' and directors' creativity and originality that they bring to these types of movies.
Jason running, Michael Myers being 8ft tall and raised by a white trash family... I can't wait to hear what the "original" take on Freddy will be!
Well, that’s just the opinion of someone who runs a company devoted to selling serial killer merchandise so you can take it or leave it. I hope you can all stop by SerialKillerCalendar.com to pick up some morbid merch (including the new Serial Killer Magazine, Serial Killer Trading Cards and Serial Killer Action Figures. I know, its a shameless display of self promotion but really, I have to justify reading up on Batman Movies while I am supposed to be working somehow.

I can remember seeing the original and the best nearly 25yrs ago it was a classic as we all know
"Billy Bob Thornton" playing "Freddy Kruegger, I don't think so yeah sure he is good in comedy but don't think he was the best choice for this film
Hollywood and the film industry have run out of ideas and they feel like going back to classics and screwing them.
Remakes by large are inferior films unless they are done very well.
Sorry to say not seen much of that lately.
I guess I will stick with my old DVD copy of the classic
in closing, nightmare on elm street SO does not need to be re-made. its fucking scary, bloody, tense and classic and will withstand the test of time long after michael bay is dead.
thankyou
