Film School Rejects: ‘Meet Dave’ Is Better Than Famine, Genocide

  • Cole Abaius · 1 year ago
Yes, but is it still better than sulfur raining down or being turned into a pillar of salt?

    hehe

Well, I guess it turned out being exactly what I thought it would be. I guess I'll never see it......

Is it really better than genocide? The characters might not be meant to make sense. I have no plans to see this movie though.

    A 'D'?

How did this not get an 'F' grade, Carr? It epitomizes the 'F' grade.

    You are slipping...
  • Kevin Carr · 1 year ago
Well, The Love Guru would be an F.

And... it's better than Funny Games. I didn't hate myself after seeing Meet Dave. (and, Funny Games just might be a little worse than genocide)

"So, it’s not the worst thing out there right now. And there are other things that Meet Dave is better than… like famine, disease and genocide… but not by much."

    ROTFLMHO!!!!

Why does everybody have to be so critical?? I mean come on!
Movies are NOT SUPPOSED to be absolute crystal clear mirrors of the real world and
who gives a crap if the characters aren't believable??

im going to see this movie it looks good and im in the mood for a laugh

also Kevin please get a life and stop writing synical reviews all day
    goodbye

    @shorty

If you are in for a laugh... Go pay two bums on the street to sing to you. That would be funnier than this film. I saw it. It was a waste of celluloid. It is sad, too, as Eddie Murphy can be very funny at times. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.

Eddie Murphy was hilarious in the 1980s. His standpoint is among the few specials I can watch and laugh the whole way through. All of his movies over the last 8 years have sucked though. I dont even like the Shrek films that much.

I love movies that are fun and not serious, but even from them I expect them to treat me with some dignity and at least show up to work on time. This film looks like a steaming dung pile and I shall avoid it like the plague.
