This is the first review I've come across that I agree with entirely! :)

When did family friendly start meaning a terrible story. This movie is bad, and cgi ruined this movie. It is to much freedom for even Spielberg and Lucas. No matter how great the cgi is, it is always somewhat noticeable, and it takes the movie goer out of film. Indiana Jones as a film has always been about the pulling back and forth between what Spielberg and Lucas wanted to do and what the effects could do at the time. Can you imagine a Last crusade with a cgi temple instead of a real life fantastic place. Or raiders of the lost ark where Indiana Jones had fought the sword guy instead of shot him. With cgi, even if Harrison Ford was sick during the time of shooting they could just do it later with a cgi background. Finding a creative solution to the problem is what Indiana Jones is made of. These solutions gave Indy character, it gave Indy life. This movie was like kitchen sink of ideas. They were the dirty and bad ideas that Lucas and Spielberg thought they could make a cake out of with cgi. Limits bring about creativity. ILM shouldn't be making the movie, the crew, the actors, and the director should.
On a side note, the part that I thought was going to be the worst part was actually the best part, that was Shia Labeouf. Who manages to stay dynamic even with the rest of the characters being flat.

I wish the CGI could fix Harrison Ford's gullet
