    I'll say one thing Tarantino gets as much juice in terms of media coverage as anybody in Hollywood when one of his projects are announced, despite the fact that his box-office dosen't back him up. Personally I didn't like his Kill Bill films at all and don't understand what all the commotion was about. Pulp Fiction was terrific but the man on man rape scene was just plain freaky. One has to wonder why he would write that into his script. I really liked Grindhouse although I thought Planet Terror was better than his segment Death Proof. Inglorious sounds like a cool idea but it will not have big main stream appeal despite all its hype!

    If Roth is in it, there will be no A-List cast attached.

    You're all fucking losers sitting around talking about Quentin Tarantino and Eli Roth none of you can make better films than either of them. Get a fucking life does it make you feel "better" or boost your ego to bash filmmakers who you are obviously envious of? I mean this is a site called film school rejects so I already know the answer. You act like you don't like pulp fiction! You can lie to yourselves all you want. That douche bag that said True Romance is his best film is smoking fucking crack! Pulp Fiction is! The only reason you're saying True Romance is Tarantino's best movie is because he didn't direct it, and you don't want to give him credit. He's more talented than you hacks get over it and move on with your pathetic lives already GOD!

    P.S.

    KIll yourselves

    Tarantino and Roth are both great directors.

    @Ryan
    I'm pretty sure the majority of people who *write* for this site are *writers* and not filmmakers. So, yeah, Tarantino could make a pretty good movie, considering he is a filmmaker with a lot of experience.

    Though if you feel like giving me $20million, I feel like I could make a pretty decent flick.

    But just chill baby, we're all cool here. Be cool, honey bunny, be cool.

    Tarantino is definitely the most overrated director in America. He has made only a few movies, and most of them are superficial violence-mongering. His 'acting' is godawful..really the worst, as is Roth's. The fact that they are friends is no surprise. Tarantino started off trashy and keeps getting worse.

    Quentin Tarantino is a genius...Eli Roth is a hack. Why the genius hangs around with the hack is beyond me. Eli Roth's movies are just ugly and lame. Tarantino's really undermining himself by promoting this loser.
  • (not Quentin) Tarantino · 10 months ago
    Quentin Tarantino is a genius. His movies are filled with style and substance.

    But so is Robert Rodriguez, Del Toro, and Peter Jackson.

    Since Quentin and Robert Rodriguez are friends, I wonder what their next collaboration together will be...

    Okay. First of all, ryanrjack should just calm the fuck down. This is a board of OPINION. You're acting as if you caught Mr. Hunter buttfucking your mom.

    Secondly, Quentin Tarantino (whose films I really enjoy for the most part - I didn't like JACKIE BROWN at all and while I liked DEATH PROOF it took waaaaayyyy too long to get started) is a very good writer and an innovative director, but he is not (again, IN MY OPINION) a genius. He's a film geek who watched every great film he could get his hands on and learned from all of them, took what he learned, put it through his filter, and came up with what is now referred to as a "Tarantino-esque" style. I do not deny him kudos for that, but I agree with Mr. Hunter that he is overrated. Now, before you throw another tantrum, let me point out that I'm not saying he's a bad director - I'm saying that I agree that he is overrated. And you can't deny that he's a mediocre actor at best.
