Vic
and Mister Hand... there were a lot of things wrong with Moonraker... the Star Wars attempt at the James Bond universe. For me, though, it was the first one I ever saw in the theater, so my heart does have a soft spot for it. (I know, I'm in the minority on this one.)
THEY CROSS THE LINE!!
You're right. It's the last line of Casino Royale, but he doesn't say it at all in Quantum of Solace.
Also the Bond films were origially released as R rated, when they dropped to a PG rating they basically castrated the series.
Denise Richards was a terrible Bond girl, but Tanya was much worse.
I just took a look at that picture with Roger Moore and Grace Jones.
My eyes hurt.
And also totally disagree on the original Casino Royale.
original camp that was making him obsolete. We've seen it countless times, and I think
eventually the audience would just start groaning. I don't need a "Bond, James Bond," nor
the aged and low-fi barrel sequence. Progress I say!
;)
now back to casino royale... all i gotta say is the scene where bond is being tortured by his family jewels getting smashed with a metal ball, and him laughing and asking for more =0 made it less a bond film and more a sick s&m snuff film :/ i can live with unrealistic crap such as it supposedly being bond at his start, despite it having the new "M" (they shoulda had a guy play the old "M" even if it was him at a younger age:P), PDA's tho those weren't around at the time and of course, bond leaving a woman to follow a lead?? *raises eyebrow* well, she was bleh looking so i'll give him that...
the movie soundtrack was good at least, nice for listening to while trying to calm yourself about the demise of bond. we're both too scarred at the pillaging of the bond name at the hands of casino royale to attempt a look at quantum of solace (doesn't even seem a bond name to us), and now reading that he doesn't do his trademark introduction that has been imitated by so many guys (don't deny it :P), i really cringe to even see the ads or even hear daniel craig's name. hehe, and in my humblest opinion, timothy dalton was the worst bond... was. ahhh the good old days :'(
let the disagreeing commence :) sorry if i've stepped on anyone's corns.
few more comments. brosnan was GREAT when he was younger. connery is the undisputed king.
the piggeons doing a double take in moonraker was rediculous as everyone else said.
grace jones in a bond film? ill never watch that one. i guarantee it. boycott grace jones!
