Well, I must say I was initially disappointed with the choice of Daniel Craig as the new Bond, seeing as how I had been engaged in a twelve month letter writing and blogging campaign to win the part for Nathan Fillion. Craig is good, but Fillion would have been better.

The good news is, I have now redoubled my efforts to have Fillion cast as Thor.

Instead of Cate Blanchett, who might possibly by a stretch of one's imagination, play Daniel Craig playing James Bond, why not add Rosie O'Donnell who could lip sync to Sean Connery?

Nathan Fillion? No thanks. Craig was pretty perfect. Plus, Fillion is a Canadian who became famous as an American-type hero. Not acceptable in a Bond film. You have to be of the Kingdom Proper!

I just came up with another person who should NEVER play Bond. My Dad. My Dad would make a TERRIBLE Bond. I mean, unless your idea of a great Bond is a guy who wears white sneakers with black socks and Nike workout shorts.

There are a million actors who shouldn't play Bond, but I love that Orlando Bloom is on this list. The guy is absolute pansy. Cae Blanchett could actually kick his ass.

hahahaha i totally agree with the choice of Orlando Bloom. That guy cant act for sh*t. In fact, he shouldnt be cast in any movie unless he's playing an elf!...

Oh My God. The idea of Hugo Weaving playing a Bond villain sounds like a role made in movie heaven. I can see it now. No more pussy poker players for Craig, he'd get down and dirty just like the Bond we saw in Casino Royale.

That sounds amazing. Somebody needs to get on this.

The thought of non-Caucasian actors playing Bond were interesting, and I'd like to offer the ONLY two actors worthy of the role, and have the sex appeal, charisma, and action chops to pull it off:

Idris Elba and Chiwetel Ejiofor (sp?)

Elba played Stringer Bell in "The Wire", so you know he can handle the heavy stuff, and the chicks dig the brother.

Ejiofor pretty much owned "Serenity" and he is quite a talented actor.

Plus that, both brothers are as British as fish and chips.

Sidenote: I don't see that happening anymore than Brad Pitt being cast as John Shaft, but it's kind of cool to imagine actors of different ethnic backgrounds playing in roles that are supposedly race specific like Olivier and Welles playing Othello, Viggo Mortensen playing Latino in Carlito's Way, and Michael Clarke Duncan playing the Kingpin.
