Second, I agree with everything said in this article. I especially love ALIAS and THE BOURNE movies. But man, oh man do I hate those MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE films. I thought the first one was stilted, the second one was RIDICULOUS, and even though it was directed by a hero of mine (J.J. Abrams), I never even bothered with the third one. So I'm very disappointed it gets slathered with praise while the finest spy television show ever made, SECRET AGENT, a.k.a. DANGER MAN doesn't even get a mention.
Just before writing this, I crossed you off my Christmas list. But DANGER MAN is a relatively obscure property here in the States, and I feel bad, so now I'm readding you to my Christmas list.
Then again, DANGER MAN is too awesome to be making excuses for you. You're off again. Hope Santa's good to you, cuz Mister Hand is giving you a big, gift-wrapped box full of nothing. Except without the gift wrap. Or the box.
Sorry. I saw Christmas decorations at the mall this afternoon, so I'm dealing with some major personal hangups.
Shutting up.
I am completely unfamiliar with SECRET AGENT MAN. perhaps it was before my time? Mission Impossible gets a nod simply for two reasons:
1.) as a kid i attempted time after time to suspend myself from the ceiling of my living room for funsies, but to no avail.
2.) Metallica's "I Disappear" is on M:I-2 soundtrack, and that song is awesome.
Sorry to have offended. Actually, I'm not. No Christmas gifts for you! There! And I had something nice picked out too. Oh well, Toys for Tots can enjoy it now.
