    Why would they cast Mel Gibson if this was a remake? It'd make sense if it were a sequel, but come on.

    As for the rest of this list, only Jeremy Renner seems plausible (and capable) and somehow you guys list him at #5 instead of #1.

    a woman would be an ideal choice. the character of Ripley was originally written as a MAN for the Alien films and Ridley Scott decided to cast a woman in the role.

    I think Mad Maxine would be a refreshing change and a better way to reboot the franchise.

    I agree with the female version. If Mila Jovavich can be a bad ass zombie killing babe then why not another? But the first person to say Megan Fox for the role loses a testicle to my bowie knife.

    Sam Worthington. There is no other choice. Great Aussie actor who absolutely owned his role in Terminator:Salvation. He would be a perfect Road Warrior.

    Might be a hard ask for him to get his accent back though...

    To me, the older Max gets, the more iconic and badass his character becomes. A middle-aged survivor, weathered and kicking ass in the post-apocalypse? That's downright inspiring.

    (Also, Mel's only 52? Dang he isn't aging well)

    You know, I could see Val Kilmer pulling this one off...
    He's absoltuely got what it takes to holp people on the tip of their chairs and can go from cool to mad in the blink of an eye...

    And I think he was really convincing as Jim Morrisson... And who could be madder than Jim... Certainly not even Mad Max himself...

    Because Mark Wahlberg is the poor man's Matt Damon. He's okay in some stuff, but he's worse than Sean Connery in being almost the exact same guy in every movie. For that matter, why not do something a little different here, stick with me everyone... We get a black man, put him in a fat suit and a wig and we can have Mad Madea instead. It'd never end, there'd be a movie out every couple months. Whenever the Hoon beat their women, she'd be there with scalding water and a razer blade.
