    the Oscars was NOT shitty!!!!!!! I thought Hugh did a good job, plus he is so YUMMY and DELICIOUS, mmmmm. i was horny for the whole evening, if you know what i mean.

    that Elektra movie was god-awful. I wish they had chosen a really good director, it could have been a good movie, goddamnit. Elektra is one of my favorite comic book superheroes. Jennifer Garner was miscasted, although she did look good.

    I've never seen Hannibal Rising, but damn, that French guy is pretty fine looking....

    The problem with Elektra was the fact that they took the comic book character, tossed out the back story from the book and decided to make their own version. EVERYTIME Hollywood does that it tanks big time. They can't seem to understand that the reason people like the comic book characters is because of the comic books.....duh.

    Which is why we won't be seeing Wolverine, at least not in theaters. They've already destroyed one part of the mythos - he was completely unaware of the claws until he was injected with adamantium, so he couldn't possibly have killed someone with them when he was young. Feh. I'll wait until DVD and then consider it.

    Hmm, I remember reading one of the evolution comics and it delved back to when he was a child and he was using the claws. They were bone of course, but still sharp.

    believe me, I've been sick more than once, and ended up seeing (christ) ALL of these...sometimes beyond my control...
    he's not off the mark on ANY of these. and Elecktra could have been promising...it was just sparkly crap in a box.

    as for the oscars, well...I still think they need a 3 drink minimum...comments like sean penn's to madonna would be GOLD!!! oscar gold!

    It only would've been a one if it was spun off of Batman Returns, but Halle Berry's Catwoman had nothing to do with any other version of Catwoman, it was a new "imagining." Trust me, it would've made the list if I considered it a spin-off.

    Do you consider Serenity a spin off? It is probably the best spin off I can think off the top of my head. Sure it was dumbed down for theaters, but it still had that Whedon feeling that made it delectable.

    Plus the Reaper ship battles were awesome. I love Serenity, and I think it's the worthy ending to Firefly we never got.

    And while we're talking TV Shows to movies, The Simpsons Movie perhaps?

    I think I stopped after American Wedding and then the rest of the spin-offs (or series) I thought they were just following the whole idea of National Lampoon. They just need to stop making all of these non-sense.

    Good point but I usually think its kinda like different artist and writer for each comic book series. Maybe sabretooth went on a hibernation and turned out like in X1. And maybe purchased Lo'real Hair color for a dramtic highlights. LOL!

    I have to disagree with the Scorpion King, I liked that movie. The other movies were bombs waiting to happen.

    Scorpion King made money. It was one of the biggest April releases ever, this fact doesn't make it un-terrible, but it does make it monetarily successful. That chun li movie looks as bad as that dragonball movie. They should put those two movies together and a make black hole of uncreative ideas, coupled with bad directing, while spinning in terrible visual effects. Or, use those two movies to torture terrorist, which is punishment worse than death.

    broomstick there was really no need for " If you know what I mean," after "I was horny all evening," you said it quite bluntly enough where there was no misconception of what was going on, "you were horny," statement not vague.

    hahaha. Ah well, sometimes I like to think and other times I like to look at boobs and see movies that have boner contests.

    Although I did just realize something - I didn't see Band Camp. I saw "American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile" and "American Pie Presents: Beta House." Those weren't that bad, but I can't confirm nor deny Band Camp sucked ass. Though if I had to guess I could confirm it.

    Gaspard Ulliel ('e played 'annibal) looks like Adam Sandler but all suave and crazy.

    I considered Serenity, but I don't really consider it, or Simpsons or X-Files for that matter, spin-offs because it's still based around the same central characters living in the same environment in pretty similar circumstances with the TV show they spawned from. Movies based off of TV shows is a whole other category, I feel.
