Love this movie. I remember watching clips of it during a film class in regards to films that cross genres, in this case, a horror film with traces of a Western. It's so gritty and so brutal, I love it. It's also, I think, one of the very few movies that features a cure for vampirism.

And BTW; "And really, what other film in your DVD collection boasts a score by eighties synth band Tangerine Dream?" How about The Keep?

You are correct, and it wasn't until after I posted this that I started getting reminders of the many many scores they've done. Risky Business, Legend, and Thief are just a few others. Good call!

I watched this the other night on Hulu and realized that they really needed Jenette Goldstein to show some skin in the movie....lol.
