Boiling Point: Twilight
It's exciting to see westerns, good ones, coming back into favor as they do about every 15 years, and between 3:10 to Yuma and The Assassination of Jesse James, it must be 15 years since Eastwood gave us Unforgiven.
I'm gonna get on line for 3:10 to Yuma tonight. It sounds worth waiting for.

the supporting roles all rose to the occasion. We are fortunate that with the quality of films that Russell Crowe has been in the last 10 years, is his gift for choosing those roles that are more than the usual mind boggling lack of character development or stories from Hollywood, that is handed out week after week with offensive humor, violence, no plots or very thin plots, it is no wonder the movies are geared to the 20 year old males, with short attention spans, and glorifying bathroom humor, senseless killing, explosions every 5 minutes without purpose. Now along comes a quality western film, so well done by all involved, it was a true pleasure to watch such a great film, with very little CGI done in the traditional John Wayne and John Ford, Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford, Paul Newman, all the great ones and 3:10 to Yuma, a remake with special quality that ranks among the best remakes of the last 15 years. I hope it finds a niche at awards time especially for the acting which exceeded my expectations providing us a **** 4 star film. See it, you will not be sorry, so far the finest film of 2007.
