Sorry guys, what's good for the goose if good for the gander. Don't be so squeamish about seeing another dude's wang, man up... should I get the fainting couch and smelling salts for you? In the meantime, speaking for most of the girls of the world I say: Full wang ahead!
  • Robert Fure · 1 year ago
Angela, if you like wang I'd say check out "Sleep Away Camp" both for its main character (Angela) and some surprising wang. =)

The lack of breakthrough indies is a blemish on the year 2008 in cinema. I
would in fact though, prefer that changes along with many other great indie
    film fans.

Nice, that was a very interesting read...
  • Jim Jones · 1 year ago
Dark Knight, best movie of ALL TIME!

I have to agree with Angela here boys. I mean there are still about 500 shots of tits for every "wang" shot. Don't worry it's not going to hurt you.
  • Chad · 1 year ago
Good Read. You were pretty much right on except for maybe Rambo and Indie Jones.
  • adrian · 1 year ago
There is not enough wang in cinema. Agree with angela, man up and deal with your own
sexuality if seeing cock makes you uncomfortable
  • Tara · 1 year ago
    Personally, i'm for more wang!

Hey, Superhero movie was produced by Zucker Abrahms and Zucker, and while it was certainly no Airplane or Police Squad, it had its moments. It definitely doesn't deserve to be grouped with Meet the Spartans/"Genre" Movie.

Nothing is more homophobic to the extent of displaying closeted tendencies as complaining about the amount of mail genitalia shown on-screen. "Hey dudes! We're so straight, we complain about dude's junk shown on screen. Bring on the boobs!" Lame.
  • Cole Abaius · 1 year ago
    @ Alex Steed

Actually, I'd consider publicly decrying homosexuality as an immortal sin, denying them the basic right to marry the person they love, and calling people "fags" and then hitching them up to the back of a giant, compensational pickup truck to drag them to death slightly more homophobic than complaining about seeing a 40 foot tall penis on the big screen.

But that's just because I have perspective in my life.
  • Sean · 1 year ago
Yeah Cole, that is pretty homophobic... but I think Alex was just exaggerating, as you successfully pointed out.
I can point out one terrible terrible thing about 2008's movie season.
    ONE MISSED CALL
  • Robert Fure · 1 year ago
    @Alex

While Cole gave you some 'blah blah blah i went to college' bullshit, allow me just to say:

I like boobs way better than wangs. Period. Unless that wang is attached to a serial killer who you thought was a chick. Because thats awesome.

"With respect to Tommy Lee Jones, his Two-Face looked like a clown show compared to the dynamic performance delivered by Eckhart."

I thoroughly agree with this comment in your #1 favourite thing about the summer of 2008. I felt compelled to better appreciate, (& finally lay to rest Tommy's portrail of), 2Face as an onscreen persona & even as a comicbook/cartoon villain. I've always enjoyed the blatant duality of Harvey Dent's character from the moment he was turned but both my wife (a bit of a fangirl herself) & I agreed that for as much as we were disturbed and blown away by Heath's performance as The Joker, (especially for the fact that I was VERY disappointed (initially) when I heard that he was who they selected to play the role that Ceasar Romero made famous and that Jackie boy took to the next level), Aaron doesn't really get the full props he deserved for his role as Harvey Dent & then the way he took on the change over to his dark side of 2Face. The way that he took the storyline and ran with it, without trying to be over the top or in your face like a can of mace was beyond impressive and quite witty. You could actually sympatise with his thirst for both justice and vengence-you could feel his pain and not just look at him as a villain or even a comic book character-but as a man. So, bravo to both Aaron & Heath for what they did for this franchise (in particular) & for the state of action movies and comic book related movies. They (along w/Iron-Man & to an extent The Hulk) have completely blown the bar away and anything less will simply be garbage and not worth shelling out $0.01 for. I pray that more comic book companies show the balls to do what Marvel did this summer and step up and out to defend the principles of their properties. & even though DC is owned by Warner Bros....PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF YOUR OWN SUCCESS (TDK) & YOUR ARCH RIVALS BALLS and STOP f****** up beloved characters!!! & MARVEL-STOP allowing those who have the rights to two of your main franchises the chance to mess up classic characters vital to your $train (i.e.-the next two Spidey movies & the supposed Venom spin-off & XMEN3 SUCKED HARD!!!!! [btw]). What TDK & I/M did was portray superhero/comicbook/graphic novel & ACTION movies in the manner they should be-LOTS of fights/chases/cool toys-tech/explosions-but with the intelligence these characters and story arcs possess. Many people who just go to these movies because a talking head tells them to, have no appreciation for the fact that the books/arc/illustrations that these stories and characters are based on win awards annually and garner respect internationally. So, DC-are you paying attention?..., please use Brandon Routh as Supes-(he fits the bill)-but please stop selling Superman Returns DVD & NEVER show it on TV EVER!!!!!!-& don't EVER hire Bryan Singer (whatever his name is) to even sweep the cutting room floor. Let's just pretend it (& Spidey3 Marvel/Sony) never happened and restart the franchise from scratch. The whole thing-because Superman is supposed to be the head icon and now.....after seeing Bats do his thing w/Begins and TDK, not so much. Ya'll made him look like a BIG PUSS!
  • Big Word · 1 year ago
So...let's do a Superman Begins movie and revisit the end of Krypton and Kal-El raising from a boy to a man by a couple from Kansas & go from there.
  • Alex Steed [of Make Something · 1 year ago
    Oh man.

"While Cole gave you some ‘blah blah blah i went to college’ bullshit."

I am just glad I didn't have to say it.

so, i don't know if the author of this article will actually see this comment, or not, but i would highly recommend "the fall" to fulfill the indy movie crave. it was incredible. i think it should be movie of the year, but since only i and like 5 other people saw it, it probably won't. hits dvd sept. 9. get it. watch it. it's incredible.
  • Jessi · 1 year ago
Ahaha, yeah when i saw the end for that movie, i just was sort of stunned for like, ten minutes. Wtf?
  • SidMute · 4 months ago
Everyone around me seems to think that Spiderman 3 was the best of the trilogy. They thought I was insane for liking the second movie the best. Thank you for assuring me that I am not, in fact, completely f*cking retarded. Also, kudos on speaking out about the abundant wang found in too many new movies today. Ladies, if you want wang, rent a frickin' porno like the rest of us. It shouldn't be in mainstream movies. In order to implement the double standard, though, these movies need more tits and ass. Thanks.
